Last time I wrote, it was from Update Hell.  Somehow I managed to battle my way through getting WordPress up to version 3.0.2.   Between file transfers running at a snails pace and my own fumbling to get everything into the correct directory, it only took 3 days.  Then another few hours to get the theme update installed and – Ta Da! – you will notice that the sub menus now operate almost correctly.

I was feeling pretty pleased to have conquered the evil updates and was going to celebrate by posting some pictures of my latest craft project.

Now I can’t upload photos.  Actually, I haven’t been able to upload photos since September.  That was the last time I had to update WP.  That’s also when the sub-menu problem appeared.  I didn’t notice because, even though I’ve written several draft posts, none of them made it to publication and so didn’t need pictures yet.

This is not how I want to spend a rainy afternoon – poring over support forums, trying to figure out which search term will lead me to an answer that I can actually understand.

Anyone out there know anything about .htaccess files?

Oh – and I just received notice to upgrade to WordPress 3.0.3. That sound you hear is me, screaming.
